Mosques in the Netherlands receive offensive letters to Islam, the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny

Unidentified persons sent postal letters containing caricatures of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny, to a number of mosques in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands Religious Endowment (HDV) condemned, in a statement, sending such letters to mosques run by the endowment, during the past week.
“In recent days, many of our mosques have received ugly messages with anti-Islamic content and full of insults to our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him and his progeny, and our sacred values.”
“Such threatening messages have, in the past, turned into actual attacks,” it added.
The statement strongly condemned any attack on temples and sacred values, and called on the concerned authorities to identify those involved in such incidents that cause concern among mosque-goers, and hand them over to justice.
The endowment has been carrying out activities to serve the people for 40 years, and provides capabilities for Muslims to perform their religious duties.
