Start of mourning ceremonies in the house of Grand Ayatollah Shirazi

Mourning ceremonies have begun in the house of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, in the holy city of Qom, with the advent of the holy month of Muharram, the month of sorrows and calamities of the family of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon them all.
The mourning ceremonies are held in the presence of scholars, dignitaries, clerics, professors and students of Islamic seminaries, and the general followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, from various Islamic countries.
A number of speakers delivered lectures including Sheikh al-Salihi, al-Muradi, and al-Hussaini, in which they spoke about the cause and rituals of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him.
The councils concluded by reciting the heartfelt and mournful verses and sad poems.
It is mentioned that the mourning ceremonies are held in the house of His Eminence, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi from the first day of Muharram and will continue until the thirteenth, in two languages, Arabic and Persian.
