Taliban kills 22 Afghan commandos after they try to surrender
The Afghan Ministry of Defense confirmed that Taliban terrorists have executed 22 elements of the commando forces after they surrendered.
The ministry said in a statement, that a group of Special Forces, comprising of 22 people, was fighting Taliban terrorists in Faryab province, and after the ammunition ran out, the commando units decided to surrender to the movement.
The Taliban ordered the Special Forces to take off their bulletproof jackets, and then the gunmen opened fire on them, killing them.
CNN had previously published videos that it said documented the killing of 22 Afghan commando forces in the city of Dawlatabad in Faryab province.
This incident contrasts with the Taliban’s repeated claims that it accepted the surrender of government forces.
