Eleven Iraqi fighters martyred in terrorist attack on Salah al-Din
Eleven members of the Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), including the commander of the regiment, were martyred, yesterday evening, when a terrorist attack claimed by ISIS took place in the Iraqi province of Salah al-Din.
An Iraqi security source stated that ISIS terrorists attacked PMUs in the Al-Eith area, east of Tikrit, resulting in the martyrdom of 11 fighters, including the commander of the third regiment in the 22nd Brigade.
The Joint Operations Command mourned the martyrdom of the fighters and the commander saying, “The heroes of Iraq continue to sacrifice their lives for this dear homeland. We extend our condolences to their families and may Allah bless their pure souls.”
