3 members of ISIS-K urban network arrested in Jalalabad city
At least three more members of the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Khurasan (ISIS-K) were arrested in Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of Nangarhar province, Afghanistan.
At least three more members of the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and Syria Khurasan (ISIS-K) were arrested in Jalalabad city, the provincial capital of Nangarhar province, Afghanistan.
The provincial government media office in a statement said the three ISIS-K militants were arrested during an operation of the Afghan Intelligence Special forces.
The statement further added that the operation was conducted close to Darunta area in Surkh Rod.
According to the provincial government, the detained individuals were involved in orchestrating and coordinating attacks, making remote-controlled bombs, and explosions.
This comes as a key ISIS Khurasan terrorist group member who was in charge of coordinating in the urban areas and expert in producing Improvised Explosive Devices was killed during an operation of the Afghan armed forces.
The local officials said Sunday that the key ISIS Khurasan terrorist group member was killed in Jalalabad city the provincial capital of Nangarhar province.
The officials further added that the Special Forces of the Afghan intelligence, National Directorate of Security (NDS), conducted an operation in Muqam Khan area of Behsud, resulting into the killing of a key ISIS member, who was famous as Muhajir.
