Quranic competition for families planned in Karbala
The second edition of a Quranic competition for families titled “Konouz” is planned to be organized in the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in Karbala, Iraq.
The second edition of a Quranic competition for families titled “Konouz” is planned to be organized in the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan in Karbala, Iraq.
According to the website of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, the shrine will hold the competition for the pilgrims of the holy shrine with the aim of disseminating the Quranic culture and teachings among different groups of people.
Safa Seylawi, head of the Media Section of the Astan’s Dar-ol-Quran Center, said that participants in the competition whould answer questions about the Holy Quran and Seerah of the infallible Imams, peace be upon them, as well as history and general information.
It will be held at the “Seyyed Al-Awsiya” pilgrims’ town that hosts the pilgrims of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, on the way from Baghdad to Karbala.
