A delegation from the office of the Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi visited the Indian city of Lucknow
A delegation from the office of the Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi visited the Indian city of Lucknow to participate in the memorial ceremony marking the fortieth day after the demise of Shia orator Muhammad Athar.
Sheikh Alial-Najafi, head of delegation and representative of Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, spoke in the memorial ceremony about the importance of the Shia religious schools for disseminating the culture of the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, to the entire world including India.
During the visit, Sheikh Ali, met top Muslim scholar, Muhammad Ashraf Jajawi, to discuss the top issues of the Islamic community in India.
Jajawi welcomed the delegation and hoped pleasant stay for them.
The two sides stressed that terrorism is not related to the religion of Islam.
