Malaysia Hosts Exhibition Highlighting Islamic Calligraphy and Quran Manuscripts

An exhibition dedicated to Islamic calligraphy, titled FAWATIH, was held in Malaysia on October 6, 2026, as part of events marking the 66th edition of the International Quran Recitation and Memorization Assembly (MTHQA).

According to Utusan Malaysia, the exhibition features 34 artworks by 17 exhibitors, showcasing a range of styles and expressions of Islamic calligraphy.

The exhibition also includes two handwritten copies of the Holy Quran, highlighting the significance of Quranic script within Islamic artistic and cultural heritage.

Through the exhibition, organizers seek to highlight the close relationship between the Quran, calligraphy and the preservation of Islamic cultural heritage.
