Fourth Season of “Shia Voice” International Competition Begins in Canada

The Imam Hussein Media Group has announced the start of production for the fourth season of its international talent competition “Shia Voice”, aimed at discovering and promoting Husseini recitation and religious talents from across the world.

According to the group’s European central office, the new season features 72 contestants from different countries, with the preliminary and semifinal stages being filmed in Toronto, Canada.

The program is scheduled to air in 20 episodes during the holy month of Ramadan on Imam Hussein TV 3, the group’s English-language channel. The show will also be dubbed into Arabic, Persian, Turkish, and Urdu for broadcast across other channels affiliated with the network.

Qasim Fahd, director of the group’s European central office, said the competition continues its mission of identifying emerging talents and sharing messages inspired by the values and teachings associated with Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

The final judging panel includes prominent Shia figures in Western communities, including preacher Sayyid Ammar Nakjavani and reciters Sayyid Nizar Al-Qatari and Sayyid Maytham Abbas, along with an Afghan-Canadian representative.

The final stage is expected to be broadcast live from Toronto after Ramadan, with the first-place winner receiving a prize of £10,000.

Organizers said previous seasons helped discover new reciters, speakers, and community figures who later contributed to religious education and cultural activities within Shia communities worldwide.
