———————————————–
The Iraqi Ministry of Interior has begun implementing its security measures for the commemoration of the martyrdom anniversary of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in Najaf Governorate, as part of a plan aimed at securing visitors and maintaining public safety during the religious occasion.
In a statement, the ministry said its senior deputy minister, Hussein Al-Awadi, arrived in Najaf to oversee the implementation of the security plan, in accordance with directives from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
The statement added that Al-Awadi conducted a field tour to review the work of Interior Ministry departments and security formations in the governorate, follow up on their assigned duties, and assess the level of readiness and preparations in place for securing the commemorative ceremonies.
The ministry said the field visit was part of direct supervision over the security arrangements and coordination between security and service institutions to provide suitable conditions for visitors and maintain stability across the governorate.
Najaf witnesses the arrival of large numbers of visitors every year to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family). Security forces continue to implement organizational and precautionary measures to facilitate visitor movement and ensure smooth transportation within the city and surrounding areas.
The Interior Ministry confirmed that field monitoring of the security plan will continue to ensure the successful organization of the ceremonies and the protection of visitors during the religious occasion.
