The southern Turkish city of Hatay witnessed its first Husseini gathering as part of the fourth annual forum organized by the Imam Hussein Center, peace be upon him, which is affiliated with the Media Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein.
The event was attended by religious, cultural, and social figures, along with a large number of devotees of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
Hassan Ni’ma al-Khafaji, technical assistant to the head of the Media Department, said holding the gathering in Hatay represented an important step in spreading Husseini culture. He noted that it was the first time the city had hosted an event of this Ashura-themed nature.
Al-Khafaji said the forum forms part of ongoing efforts to promote the message of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and convey the principles of the Husseini uprising through cultural and religious programs that strengthen dialogue, coexistence, and peace.
The forum included speeches and lectures on the humanitarian and reformist dimensions of Imam Hussein’s revolution, as well as the importance of promoting the culture of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and strengthening communication among Muslim communities in Turkey.
Organizers said the gathering in Hatay marks a significant step in expanding Husseini cultural and religious activities, reflecting the continued presence of the message of Karbala in diverse societies.
