34th Annual Hussain Day Convention Held in Bengaluru, Highlighting Imam Hussein’s Message of Peace and Justice

The 34th annual Hussain Day Convention was held at a Shia community center in Bengaluru’s Richmond Town, bringing together scholars from different faiths, members of parliament, political and social leaders, journalists, intellectuals, artists, and civil society representatives.

The convention was held under the theme “Secularism for Global Peace,” with speakers highlighting the sacrifice of Imam Hussein as a lasting symbol of truth, justice, freedom, human dignity, and interfaith harmony.

Participants emphasized that the events of Karbala represent a universal message of resistance against oppression, the pursuit of justice, and the protection of human values. They stressed that lasting peace can only be achieved through fairness, mutual respect, religious tolerance, and commitment to constitutional principles.

Speakers also praised the Hussain Day Convention, organized over the past three decades under the leadership of Agha Sultan, as an important platform for interfaith dialogue, national unity, and promoting the universal humanitarian message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

The annual gathering continues to attract figures from diverse religious and social backgrounds, focusing on shared values of compassion, justice, and peaceful coexistence inspired by the legacy of Imam Hussein.
