The Karbala Police Command announced that 15,817 Hussaini service processions have been registered as of the 10th day of Safar to participate in providing services for pilgrims arriving in the holy city for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

The police command said the registration process for service processions has been closed after completing the required procedures for participating groups, as part of the organizational and security preparations for the large-scale pilgrimage.

The Department of Visitors and Pilgrims Affairs at the Directorate of Holy Shrines Protection, in coordination with the Holy Shrines of Imam Hussein and al-Abbas (peace be upon them) and the Hussaini Processions Authority, continues issuing official permits and legal registrations for procession organizers according to approved regulations.

The registered processions are distributed throughout Karbala city and along the main roads and routes leading to the holy city, providing essential services including meals, drinking water, rest areas and other facilities needed by pilgrims during the Arbaeen season.

According to the police, the registered processions include more than 200 Arab and international groups, reflecting the growing global participation in the Arbaeen pilgrimage and the contribution of visitors and volunteers from different countries in serving pilgrims.
