Displaced Lebanese Families Face Dire Conditions as Shelters Reach Capacity
————————————
Thousands of families displaced by intensified Israeli attacks and evacuation warnings in southern Lebanon are facing worsening humanitarian conditions as official shelters struggle to absorb new arrivals.

Many families fleeing towns and villages in the south have moved toward cities such as Tyre, Sidon and Beirut, often leaving their homes with only basic belongings. Aid agencies and local officials say shelters, including schools and public facilities converted into emergency accommodation, have been under severe pressure for months.

Reports from humanitarian workers and international media indicate that many displaced people have been forced to sleep in makeshift tents, vehicles, public spaces and unfinished or overcrowded buildings, with limited access to sanitation, healthcare and essential supplies.

The crisis deepened after recent Israeli strikes and evacuation orders in Tyre, where displaced families had already sought refuge. The latest escalation has raised fears that more civilians will be pushed into unsafe and informal living conditions.

Humanitarian organizations warn that Lebanon’s response capacity remains strained by funding shortages, damaged infrastructure and continued insecurity. They have called for urgent protection of civilians, expanded shelter support and greater international assistance for families displaced by the ongoing conflict.
