Najaf and Imam Ali Shrine Decorated Ahead of Eid al-Ghadir

As Eid al-Ghadir approaches, the holy city of Najaf has been decorated with flags, banners, lights, and special symbols marking the occasion, giving the city a festive atmosphere of Wilayah.

According to Iraqi Shia sources, the Holy Alawi Shrine has launched a wide decoration campaign across Najaf’s streets, main entrances, and the area around the shrine of Imam Ali, peace be upon him, in preparation to receive large numbers of visitors.

Shafaqna Iraq, citing the Imam Ali Shrine, reported that around 1,000 square metres of posters and display pieces had already been installed, while an additional 1,600 to 2,000 square metres are being prepared as part of the shrine’s plan for Eid al-Ghadir.

Shia Waves also reported that technical and service teams at the shrine installed coloured flags, congratulatory banners, decorations, and lighting inside the Haidari courtyard and surrounding areas.

The shrine’s program for Eid al-Ghadir is expected to include religious and cultural events, lectures, intellectual seminars, central celebrations, poetry gatherings, and devotional chanting.

Public images and posts shared on social media also showed Najaf’s streets and the area around the holy shrine decorated with Eid al-Ghadir banners, reflecting the city’s preparations for one of the most important occasions for followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them.
