Lebanon Reports Over 450,000 Displaced Amid Hezbollah-Israel Conflict
——————————–
Lebanese authorities have reported that more than 450,000 people have been displaced since the outbreak of hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel, as ongoing military escalation has forced thousands of families to leave their homes.

Hanin Al-Sayyed, Lebanon’s Minister of Social Affairs, said in a press briefing that the total number of officially registered displaced persons on the ministry’s platform has reached 454,000. Of these, 112,525 are currently residing in government-run shelters across various regions, while others are staying with relatives or in temporary accommodations.

The minister urged displaced individuals who have not yet registered to do so promptly to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid and access to essential services.

The displacement comes amid a new wave of evacuations in the southern suburbs of Beirut. Tens of thousands of residents left their homes on Thursday following an Israeli warning of immediate evacuation, intensifying the humanitarian and logistical pressures on Lebanese authorities.

Officials continue to monitor the situation closely, coordinating shelter, food, and medical support for displaced families as the conflict persists in the region.
