Groundbreaking Ceremony Held for “Hazrat Mohsen bin Ali” School in Malawi, Backed by the “Imam Hussain for All” Campaign

A groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the construction of the Hazrat Mohsen bin Ali (peace be upon him) School in one of the Shia-majority villages of the Republic of Malawi, with support and oversight from the “Imam Hussain for All” Campaign—an initiative dedicated to promoting the teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and serving disadvantaged Shia communities worldwide.

Until now, this Shia village had no school or educational center that met the community’s religious and cultural needs. For years, the village’s children and teenagers have lacked a suitable space for learning, Quranic education, and instruction in the traditions of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), making the establishment of such a school a vital and long-awaited demand of local residents.

Organizers of the campaign emphasized that the Hazrat Mohsen bin Ali (peace be upon him) School will be more than just a standard educational facility. It is intended to become a center for strengthening religious awareness, offering classes in faith, Quranic studies, and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), while nurturing a new generation grounded in Hussaini values and Shia identity. They noted that the school will play an essential role in preserving the community’s religious heritage and offering hope for the future of children in this underserved village.
