Opening of One of the Largest Mosques in the Balkans in Bulgaria
——————————-
The “New Mosque” in the city of Kardzhali, Bulgaria—one of the largest mosques in the Balkan region—was inaugurated with the presence of Turkey’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, alongside a number of political and religious officials from both countries.
According to Shia Waves Agency, citing Anadolu Agency, the mosque will serve not only as a place of worship but also as a spiritual, cultural, and social center. Featuring community halls, Quran study circles, and various other facilities, it is set to become a symbol of the Balkan Muslim identity and a representation of the growing cooperation between Turkey and Bulgaria.
