Singapore, Moscow, and Beijing Lead Forbes List of the World’s Smartest Cities

Forbes magazine has unveiled its latest ranking of the world’s smartest cities, evaluating global urban centers across five key criteria — smart governance, living standards, mobility, business and employment, and sustainable development.

According to RT, Singapore topped the list with 54 points, recognized for its advanced digital infrastructure, efficient transport systems, and technology-driven public services. Moscow followed closely with 53.9 points, praised for its digital governance and public service innovations, while Beijing secured third place with 52.9 points, reflecting its strong focus on AI, smart mobility, and urban sustainability.

London ranked fourth with 52.5 points, and Shanghai rounded out the top five at 51.7 points, underscoring Asia’s growing dominance in global smart city innovation.

Experts say the 2025 ranking reflects rapid progress in urban digitalization, infrastructure, and environmental management, highlighting how technology continues to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and quality of life in major cities worldwide.
