On the occasion of World Teachers’ Day on October 5, the global nonviolence organization (Freemuslim) emphasized the central role of teachers in building societies, promoting sustainable development, and fostering a culture of peace and nonviolence. In a statement shared with Shia News Agency, the organization praised educators worldwide for their mission of enlightenment and shaping minds, describing them as pillars of justice and human progress.

It highlighted that teachers are not merely conveyors of knowledge but mentors who inspire critical thinking and instill ethical values that counter extremism and ignorance. The organization also drew attention to the challenges faced by teachers in developing countries and conflict zones, including low salaries, difficult working conditions, limited training resources, and unsafe environments.

Muslim Free urged governments and international bodies to improve teachers’ welfare, provide training in peace education and human rights, and ensure safe, well-equipped learning environments, stressing that investing in teachers is investing in a violence-free future.
