US Government Imposes New Sanctions on International Criminal Court and Human Rights Groups
——————————
The US government has imposed a new round of sanctions targeting the International Criminal Court (ICC) and four specific human rights organizations: Al-Haq, Al-Mezan, Addameer, and the Palestinian Human Rights Center.

According to The New York Times, this decision was made in response to the ICC issuing arrest warrants for Israeli officials as part of its ongoing investigation into alleged war crimes.

The sanctions directly target key personnel at the court, including the Prosecutor, Deputy Prosecutors, and six judges. Concurrently with these actions, the US government has also reduced its funding to the United Nations.

These measures have raised serious concerns about the weakening of international justice institutions and the potential damage to the process of pursuing justice and rights for victims in conflict zones.
