Ghanaian Shiites Travel to Karbala for Arbaeen
—————————
A group of Shiite Muslims from Ghana has traveled to Karbala, Iraq, to participate in the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage. According to the Shia News Agency, citing Middle East News, these pilgrims reached the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) either on foot or as part of organized caravans to take part in the spiritual rituals and mourning ceremonies.
The presence of Shiite pilgrims from various African nations underscores the global reach and influence of the Husayni culture and the Arbaeen commemoration. Iraqi authorities and security forces have provided accommodations and security to ensure the safety of the pilgrims’ journey.
