The Arbaeen pilgrimage in Holy Karbala has reached its peak with no security breaches recorded, according to Brigadier General Miqdad Miri, spokesperson for Iraq’s Supreme Committee for Mass Pilgrimages. Speaking at a press conference attended by Shia Waves Agency, Miri said thousands of officers and personnel from various security branches have been deployed to implement the event’s security and service plan.

He confirmed that more than three million pilgrims had entered the city by the time of the briefing, with smooth coordination across all entry routes. Miri noted that the pilgrimage has now entered the reverse flow phase, with departing visitors outnumbering arrivals.

He added that traffic has remained steady, with no significant road closures or congestion reported in Karbala or along the main pilgrimage routes in other provinces. He stressed that security and service agencies continue to coordinate efforts to ensure a safe and orderly conclusion to the Arbaeen rituals.
