Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani has initiated the first phase of the Imam Hussein ring-road project in Karbala, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion during the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage, official sources reported.

The phase covers 9.2 kilometers within the city to improve flow amid the influx of millions of visitors. Al Sudani also launched the South Karbala water project, with a capacity of 16,000 cubic meters per hour, designed to enhance essential services for residents and pilgrims.
