Arbaeen Preparations Underway: Pilgrim Routes Improved as Gulf Pilgrims Arrive in Iraq
——————————
Preparations for the annual Arbaeen pilgrimage are intensifying, with significant efforts focused on improving infrastructure and facilitating the arrival of millions of pilgrims.
An improvement project for the Arbaeen walking route has commenced in the Sadda al-Hindiya axis, a key southern pathway leading to Karbala. This initiative, ordered by the Governor of Karbala, aims to enhance route safety and overall infrastructure in anticipation of the massive annual visitation.
Concurrently, pilgrims from Gulf countries have begun entering Iraq via the Safwan border, located in southern Iraq, specifically for the Arbaeen pilgrimage. The border has bolstered its services and security measures to ensure a smooth and safe passage for the arriving pilgrims.
According to Shia Waves Persian, coordinated efforts are underway to manage the immense logistical and safety requirements of the pilgrimage.
