Afghan Arbaeen Pilgrims Face Uncertainty as Iran Delays Visa Issuance
————————————
Thousands of Afghan pilgrims intending to participate in the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage to Karbala are facing significant uncertainty as the Iranian Embassy in Kabul has yet to begin issuing visas.

According to Shia Waves Agency, citing Al Jazeera, this delay has caused widespread concern among Afghans eager to visit the holy city. Pilgrim tour companies have also reported an inability to respond to the increasing number of inquiries from hopeful travelers.

Last year, Iran facilitated the journey of over 40,000 Afghan pilgrims by issuing free visas. While the Iraqi Embassy has already announced its readiness to issue free visas for Arbaeen, there has been no official announcement or commencement of visa issuance from the Iranian side. This leaves Afghan pilgrims in limbo, with the pilgrimage days fast approaching.
