Civil defense teams have evacuated an additional 366 civilians, predominantly women and children, from the southern Syrian province of Suwayda to temporary shelters in Daraa, bringing the total number of evacuees to 3,227, Anadolu Agency reported. The move comes amidst ongoing security unrest stemming from clashes that erupted on July 13 between Bedouin Arab tribes and armed Druze groups.

The escalating violence has resulted in 20 injuries and the recovery of 34 bodies. The situation has been further complicated by Israeli airstrikes targeting Syrian military positions, though most Druze leaders in Syria have rejected foreign interference and reiterated their commitment to a unified Syrian state. The new Syrian government, formed after the ouster of Bashar al-Assad on December 8, 2024, is actively working to reestablish order across the nation.
