15 killed, 25 injured as terrorists storm military compound in northwest Pakistan

At least 15 people were killed and 25 others injured when suspected militants attacked a military compound in northwest Pakistan on Tuesday, Anadolu Agency reported citing security and health officials.
The incident occurred in Bannu, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, when heavily armed assailants drove two explosive-laden vehicles into the outer walls of the compound after being intercepted by security forces.
The explosions caused several nearby houses to collapse, resulting in the deaths of at least 15 civilians, as reported by a military official who requested anonymity. “Six attackers have been killed, and several others have been cornered within a section of the compound,” he stated.
Dr. Nauman Ahmed, a spokesman for the Bannu district hospital, informed reporters that among the deceased were four women and two children, with several injured individuals in critical condition. While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, militants linked to the Tehreek-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have a history of targeting Pakistani security forces.
