Landslide in Indonesia’s Central Java kills 16, injures 10
A landslide in Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia, has claimed 16 lives and left 10 injured, according to the regional disaster mitigation agency and police.
Triggered by heavy rainfall, the landslide has complicated rescue efforts, with search teams racing against time amid persistent rain, an official told Kompas TV. “The search continues because time is limited, and we’re battling the weather,” the official said.
