Teen Pilgrim Missing from Karachi Airport for One Year

A report has been filed regarding the disappearance of a young Shia pilgrim, Syed Haider Abbas, who has been missing since his return from religious visits in Iraq, ShiaNews.com reported. Despite inquiries from various agencies, none have confirmed that Haider Abbas is in their custody.

According to reports, on Saturday, January 11, Syed Haider Abbas, hailing from Parachinar, sent his last message stating that he had safely arrived at Karachi Airport. However, after that, all contact with him was lost. His last known location was recorded at Jorian Chowk in Rawalpindi district, but there has been no information about him since.

A formal missing persons report has been lodged, and information has been sought from various institutions, yet no agency has verified his whereabouts.

Haider Abbas’s parents have appealed to the government and security agencies, stating that it has been a year without any news of their son. They urge anyone with information to come forward. The people of Parachinar, especially his parents and elderly mother, are anxiously awaiting Haider Abbas’s return.

It is important to note that the issue of Shia genocide and enforced disappearances has been ongoing in Pakistan for several years.
