The Iraqi Military Intelligence Directorate announced the arrest of seven ISIS members in Kirkuk Governorate, the Iraqi News Agency reported on Friday.
The arrests took place based on precise intelligence. One of the detainees was responsible for transporting individuals, weapons, and logistical materials. The suspects were handed over to the relevant authorities.
In a separate development, American forces killed a Daesh leader and another of the group’s members in a strike in Syria, the US military said on Friday.
The strike carried out on Thursday in Deir Ezzor province in eastern Syria, killing Daesh leader “Abu Yusif” and another operative, the US Central Command, or CENTCOM, said on social media, without providing further details on the two terrorists.
