Death toll of journalists in Gaza rises to 190 amid ongoing Israeli assault

The Government Media Office in Gaza has reported that 190 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the start of the Israeli military campaign on October 7, 2023. The latest casualty is journalist Alaa Fawzi Barhoum.

The office condemned Israel for targeting journalists, holding it fully responsible, and urged international organizations to take legal action to prevent further deliberate killings.

The ongoing assault on Gaza has resulted in over 146,000 casualties, mostly women and children, with thousands still missing, amid warnings of a catastrophic humanitarian crisis.
