Kashmiris sound alarm over Delhi’s plan to erase their cultural heritage
Kashmiris have expressed grave concerns over what they view as a deliberate effort by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government to erase their unique cultural identity in the disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a report by the Kashmir Media Service, Hindu nationalist groups are pushing to reestablish a pre-Islamic Hindu civilization in the Muslim-majority region.
This follows the revocation of Article 370, which stripped Kashmir of its special autonomy, paving the way for non-Kashmiris to settle in the region.
Despite these threats, Kashmiris have reaffirmed their commitment to defending their identity and heritage, calling on the international community to intervene and protect their rights.
