Taliban Dismantles Animal and Bird Sculptures in Herat

The Taliban has removed the heads from bird and animal sculptures in Herat province, according to reports from Amu TV.

This action follows previous measures where the group mandated store owners to decapitate mannequins, citing a strict interpretation of Islamic law that prohibits the depiction of living beings.
