Grand Ayatollah Shirazi stresses importance of intellectual awareness, commemoration of Al-Muhsin’s martyrdom
The Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq Al-Husayni Al-Shirazi, emphasized that spreading intellectual awareness and guiding society are fundamental causes for which the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, sacrificed their lives and everything they had.
In statements published on his official website on the occasion of Al-Muhsiniya Mouring Days, the Grand Marja said: “Sayyeda Fatimah al-Zahra, peace be upon her, sacrificed her pure self and her unborn son, our master Al-Muhsin, peace be upon him, for the sake of this great cause,” adding, “Had our master Al-Muhsin, peace be upon him, not been martyred, the number of Sayyid descendants would have been greater than it is now.”
Grand Ayatollah Shirazi affirmed that the sacrifice of Sayyeda Fatimah al-Zahra, peace be upon her, serves as a proof against all elites and those who claim to follow Islam in every era, including our current time, until the Day of Judgment.
His Eminence pointed out that commemorating this painful tragedy is a true expression of loyalty to Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and disassociation from their enemies and those who usurped their rights.
