Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi emphasizes importance of reviving Hussaini rituals

Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi emphasized the importance of reviving and adhering to the Hussaini rituals, as they are symbols of self-reformation and societal reform after the enemies of Islam have tried to erase its features.

Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi’s statement came during receiving delegations from European, Asian, and Islamic countries who visited him for guidance.

He affirmed that the condition of faith and affiliation with the Prophet and his pure family, peace be upon them, is self-monitoring and daily self-accountability for one’s actions and words, to pledge to Almighty God to avoid mistakes and move forward towards good deeds.

Grand Ayatollah al-Najafi added that visitors should be inspired during their presence in the holy land of Iraq during the month of Muharram, the month of martyrdom, which is a significant and great moral support to guide visitors towards the path of righteousness and reform.
