Syrian Shiites confronting Umayyad ISIS terrorist group by honoring holy Husseini rituals
Despite the return of the extremist and terrorist Sunni group ISIS and the possibility of targeting the centers related to Shiites in Syria, the country has witnessed the revival and upholding of the rituals of Imam al-Hussein (peace be upon him) during the days of Muharram, particularly Ashura, as enthusiastic devotees participated in these ceremonies.
Syrian Shiites in several cities of the war-torn nation expressed their devotion and loyalty to the Ahlul-Bayt, peace be upon them, by holding mourning Majalis on the occasion of the tragedies of Muharram and Ashura.
According to the Shia Waves agency, the significant and widespread presence of Syrian Shiites in these gatherings, which continued on the second ten days of the month of Muharram, is a testament to the continuity of the Husseini revolution and the profound establishment of rituals associated with Sayyed al-Shuhada, peace be upon him, in the spirit of the devotees of Ahlul-Bayt and the community’s indifference to terrorist threats.
By reviving Husseini rites, which stand in opposition to the deviating and false ideologies of the enemies of the Ahlul-Bayt and the precinct teachings of Islam, Shia mourners emphasized their position against the attempts of terrorism to return to their country as well as their steadfast resistance against them.
During the days of Muharram, the cities of Damascus, Aleppo, Hatla and other regions of Syria saw the great participation in the commemoration ceremonies of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him).
By honoring Husseini rituals and keeping the light of hope bright in their souls, the Syrian Shiites are awaiting the annihilation of the Umayyads of the time, who have crystallized into the extremist and terrorist Sunni group of ISIS today.
It should be mentioned that the Holy Shrine of Sayyida Zainab and the Holy Shrine of Sayyida Ruqayya, peace be upon them both, in Damascus welcomes mourners from different regions of Syria, Iran and other countries to visit these blessed Shia landmarks and offer their condolences to the Imam of the Time, as well as to honor the days of Muharram.
