With months of sorrow approaching, Al-Rasul Al-Azam Hussainiya opens new headquarters in London
In an important move reflecting the significance of commemorating the sacred Hussaini rituals in Muharram and Safar, Al-Rasul Al-Azam Hussainiya in the British capital, London, has announced the opening of its new headquarters in London.
The administration of the Hussainiya told Shia Waves Agency that “Al-Rasul Al-Azam Hussainiya now has a new headquarters to accommodate the increasing number of believers from the Shia followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and to revive the sacred Hussaini rituals.”
Officials at the Hussainiya pointed out that “the opening of the new headquarters in central London coincided with the celebrations of Eid al-Ghadir,” adding that “the ceremony was attended by representatives of the Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, representatives of prominent religious authorities, activists, intellectuals, and media personnel.”
The organizers confirmed that “the opening of the new headquarters will provide larger spaces to accommodate the masses of mourners participating in the commemoration of the rituals of the months of Muharram and Safar.”
