Landslide Disaster Claims 7 Lives in Eastern Afghanistan
At least seven people have tragically perished in a landslide incident that struck a village in Paktia province, eastern Afghanistan, Xinhua news agency reported today.
The natural disaster occurred late on Sunday in Jakaorgor village, Janikhail district, when the landslide swept through a residential house, the source mentioned.
Mud houses, which are common in remote Afghan areas, proved vulnerable to the devastating event.
