Grand Ayatollah Shirazi remarks on exemplary role of Infallibles, peace be upon them, during daily scholarly session

The daily scholarly meeting of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Sadegh al-Hosseini al-Shirazi was held on Wednesday, the 12th of Dhul Hajjah. In this session, like the previous meetings, the Marja answered the questions of the attendees about various jurisprudential issues.

Regarding the duties of the Ma’sumeen and the Pure Imams, peace be upon them, Grand Ayatollah Shirazi said: It is mentioned in a narration that the Divinely-determined duties of the Infallibles, peace be upon them, were registered on sheets and revealed to them by God Almighty. For example, whatever was carried out by Imam Hassan al-Mojtaba, peace be upon him, it was exactly in accordance with what was written in that sheet, and whatever was done by Imam al-Hussain, peace be upon him, was exactly in accordance with the tasks that were written in that sheet for him.

His Eminence continued: This was also the case for all the Ma’sumeen and the Pure Imams (peace be upon them), who, by God’s will, executed all their assignments based on those written Divine orders.

He also emphasized that the Infallibles, peace be upon them, all serve as perfect examples and models for mankind, and that all the actions of those noble ones are Hujjat (proof of conduct) for us. This is reflected in the Holy Qur’an in verse 21 of Surah Al-Ahzab in relation to the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him and his pure family, where it says: There is a perfect example for you in the Messenger of God.
