Shia Muslims in Sierra Leone recall honourable biography of Imam Al-Baqir
Coinciding with his sorrowful martyrdom anniversary, Shia preachers and researchers in the Republic of Sierra Leone have discussed various aspects of the life of Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir, peace be upon him.
The African Studies Center organized a special gathering in the city of Freetown, the country’s capital, attended by a large crowd of followers of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, including several preachers and religious researchers.
Sheikh Ibrahim Bah, the center’s coordinator, stated in a press release followed by Shia Waves Agency: “The gathering discussed the significant divine roles Imam Al-Baqir, peace be upon him, performed during his life and his blessed period of Imamate, particularly in introducing the true divine knowledge.”
Sheikh Bah pointed out that the center is “committed to holding mourning sessions and always strives to commemorate these great occasions that contribute to enhancing religious and social awareness among community members.”
The attendees emphasized the importance of holding such gatherings and educational seminars, as they “represent opportunities to recall the biography of the Imams of Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and learn from their heroic stances in facing injustice and tyranny.”
