Pakistan: Captain, soldier Killed in Clashes with Terrorists
An army captain and a soldier were killed during an intelligence-based operation against terrorists in the Peshawar district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, Aaj News reported today.
According to the military’s statement, Captain Hussain Jahangir, 25, and Havildar Shafiq Ullah, 36, were killed in the exchange of fire with the militants.
At least five terrorists were killed, and three were injured during the operation, the statement added.
The operation comes after 29 terrorists were neutralized along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border over the past month.
