Seven killed after assailants launch suicide attack on Pakistan army post near Afghan border
A military post in northwestern Pakistan near the Afghan border was targeted by an armed group using a vehicle filled with explosives and suicide bombers, resulting in the death of seven security force members, as reported by Al Jazeera.
In response to the attack on Saturday in North Waziristan, a district in the volatile province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, troops killed six assailants, some of whom were wearing suicide vests, the military statement confirmed.
While the military’s media wing did not reveal who was behind the attack, a newly formed group, Jaish-e-Fursan-e-Muhammad, claimed responsibility for it.
