War on Gaza leaves thousands of children killed or maimed

In the ongoing war in Gaza Strip, children, who make up nearly half of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million, have had their lives shattered by the brutal war.

According to Palestinian health officials, more than 11,500 under-18s have been killed, confirming that more than this number have serious and life-changing injuries.

News reports say that the death toll is now nearing 27,000, amid catastrophic humanitarian circumstances.

Of the 27,000 deaths, about 8,000 were women of various ages.

Mosques, civilian facilities and other important infrastructure have also be destroyed by the war, leaving hundreds of thousands of civilians in shelters, amid freezing temperatures and lack of food.
