ISIS claims responsibility for attack that killed 89 military personnel in Niger

The terrorist organization ISIS claimed responsibility for an attack last week on a Niger army base.

The attack killed at least 89 soldiers, according to a statement reported by the site Intelligence Group, which tracks militant groups' websites.

The organization's West Africa state said in a statement that its fighters had killed 89 soldiers and wounded an unspecified number in a raid last Thursday on the base in the town of Chinagdarar, near the Mali border.
