16 Iraqi pilgrims injured in traffic accident in Iran

Sixteen Iraqi pilgrims were injured in a traffic accident between the cities of Damgan and Shahroud in Samnan province on the way to the holy city of Mashhad, the center of Khorasan province in northeastern Iran.

 

 

Sixteen Iraqi pilgrims were injured in a traffic accident between the cities of Damgan and Shahroud in Samnan province on the way to the holy city of Mashhad, the center of Khorasan province in northeastern Iran.

According to Iranian reports, the accident occurred as the bus carrying pilgrims deviated from the road, leading to the injury of 16 passengers, as ambulances hurried to the scene to transport them to nearby hospitals. 

The general health conditions of the injured were reported to be stable.

Daman city police said in a report that the bus was carrying 25 Iraqi pilgrims from the city of Qom towards the city of Mashhad.
