By order of Iran’s “Supreme Leader”, Ali Khamenei, three vehicles affiliated to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Iranian intelligence intercepted the car, carrying the Grand Religious Authority of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Sadiq al-Husseini al-Shirazi, and humiliatingly arrested his son, Ayatollah Hussein al-Shirazi, as they were leaving the Mosque of Imam Zein al-Abidin, peace be upon him, in the holy city of Qom. Private sources have confirmed to Shiawaves that the vehicles affiliated to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and Iranian intelligence have stopped the car that was carrying His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Shirazi, along with his son, Sayyid Hussein al-Shirazi, after they left the mosque of Imam Zein al-Abidin, peace be upon him, in Jahramardan Street / Enqilab, in the holy city of Qom, where His eminence delivers his post-fiqh lessons. The sources pointed out that the Iranian intelligence agents coercively stopped the vehicle and insulted Grand Ayatollah Shirazi and arrested his son, Ayatollah Sayyid Hussein al-Shirazi after violently beating him in front of his father until his turban fell to the ground, to be later on transferred to an unknown destination in an unprecedented incident in the history of Iran, where a Grand Jurist is being assaulted in public. It is worth mentioning that the Iranian authorities had issued last month a summon and an arrest warrant against Ayatollah Hussein al-Shirazi for criticizing the mandate Wilayat al-Faqih in a lecture. The Shirazi religious authority is independent and calls for the independence of the Islamic seminary and the Religious Authorities from the governments.
