Afghan forces clash with the Taliban militants in Chahar Bolak of Balkh

A clash took place between the Afghan armed forces and the Taliban militants in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan late on Saturday night, the Afghan Military said.

 

A clash took place between the Afghan armed forces and the Taliban militants in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan late on Saturday night, the Afghan Military said.

The 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan Military in the North in a statement said the clash took place Chahar Bolak district, leaving at least five militants dead or wounded.

The statement further added that two militants belonging to Taliban’s shadow governor Gul Nabi were killed and three others were wounded during the clash in Gor Tapa area.

At least two motorcycles belonging to the militants were also destroyed during the clash, the 209th Shaheen Corps added in its statement.

In the meantime, the 209th Shaheen Corps said the Afghan forces discovered and defused an improvised explosive device during a separate operation in Burka district of northern Baghlan province.
