Child malnutrition in Yemen has reached record levels, with a third of children now suffering from acute malnutrition, the Yemeni ministry of health stated.
Yemen’s border provinces are the among the worst-hit by the Saudi onslaught due to their proximity to the kingdom. Constant bombardments have caused a dire humanitarian situation beside the mounting civilian deaths which occurs almost on a daily basis.
Many more children and their families are at increasing risk of being pushed into acute malnutrition as supplies dwindle, prices skyrocket, and poverty levels in what is already the Middle East’s poorest country continue to rise. The charity spoke to families forced to make a desperate choice between food, shelter or medicine for their children.
