Syrian government forces, backed by allied popular fighters, have retaken nearly a dozen more villages in the northern province of Aleppo from ISISTakfiri terrorists as they continue to score territorial gains in battles against extremists across the country.

An unnamed military source told Syria’s official news agency, SANA, that Syrian troops and their allies had regained control of eleven villages, including Rasm al-Kroum, Eastern Umm al-Zalila, Western Umm al-Zalila, Hazazah, Khasaf and al-Maboujah, in the northeastern flank of the province on Saturday.

The source added that army units had also managed to establish control over Ayoub and Ahmer hills besides the 7-kilometer-long road linking the provincial capital city of Aleppo to the northern ISIS-held city of Raqqah.
